Industry Promotion

From emerging industry trends to breakthrough technologies and business models, we help highlight and promote the companies that power Ohio’s innovation economy.

Through events, public relations and marketing campaigns we highlight local companies and national and global leaders operating in the State of Ohio. We commission and/or provide economic impact reports and research to tell the story of the State’s tech industry both qualitatively and quantitatively. We collaborate with other economic development partner organizations to serve as a point of contact for technology or technology enabled companies who show interest in becoming more involved or expanding in the State of Ohio.

Advocacy

We serve as the premier voice for the information technology community in helping to shape public policy at all levels of State and Local government by:

• Educating and communicating with government officials, legislative policymakers and administrative agencies on policies and programs that impact the innovation and technology in the State of Ohio.
• Advocating for industry best practices to ensure the highest standards in the provision and implementation of technology products and services for the State of Ohio, at the best cost and highest value for its citizens.

B2B Engagement

We provide direct business to business networking opportunities via educational programs, events and leadership forums on industry best practices, new technologies and leading business model trends, as well as strategic alignment initiatives to match technology leaders and companies of all shapes and sizes with strategic collaborators, vendors, suppliers and partners.

We also identify and match capital and financing sources for emerging companies and/or match emerging companies with larger tech or tech enabled companies interested in strategic alignments, investments and/or partnerships—and vice-versa.

Professional Development Networks

We provide tech leaders with a network to help build connections, share expertise and establish a unified voice for our industry. Each program Community aligns with the job functions of our members and are managed along with OITA staff and volunteer-led committees that organize special events, projects, and outreach.

OITA member participants are thought leaders in their areas of focus and help provide mentorship, resources and big -picture thinking across our Communities.

Talent Attraction & Developmant

The number one challenge of every tech and tech enabled company is Talent. But we do not seek to reinvent the wheel on talent attraction and retention. Rather we collaborate with state and local workforce and economic development partners, community colleges, universities and the private sector, to provide a direct connection between tech talent and our member companies.

We provide highlights and insights of outstanding talent in the State of Ohio, as well as the myriad of great job and career opportunities with our member companies and organizations via our Talent Watch portal.
