The role of the OITA is to serve as the premier voice for the technology community in helping to shape public policy at all levels of State and Local government by:
- Educating and communicating with government officials, legislative policymakers and administrative agencies on policies and programs that impact the information technology industry in the State of Ohio.
- Advocating for industry best practices to ensure the highest standards in the provision and implementation of information technology products and services for the State of Ohio, at the best cost and highest value for its citizens.
- Actively work to foster a business environment that will make Ohio one of the premiere digital technology hubs in the United States to enhance Ohio's position as a place to live, work, invest and grow now and well into the future.
